This painting captures an authentic and peaceful moment of the bull drive through the streets of Lunel, a Camargue tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. Two herdsmen, mounted on white horses, calmly and skillfully guide a group of six bulls through the town. The animals, though powerful, seem soothed by the presence of the riders and the familiarity of the ritual.

The artist has masterfully rendered the harmony between the elements: the shadows of the horses and bulls on the sunlit ground, the facades of the buildings typical of southern France, and the onlookers observing the scene from the sidewalks.
