Description of the article « Bullfighters' leaps »
A bullfighting scene in a Camargue arena. The raseteurs (bullfighters) risk their lives to snatch the prized attributes: ribbons, tassels, and rosettes, placed on the bull's forehead and between its horns, according to a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. They use a metal claw extending from their dominant hand for this purpose. The challenge is to avoid being caught by the formidable horns of this swift and powerful animal. Two raseteurs leap to escape the bull, which nevertheless follows them on the other side of the barrier.
